Jody Malterre is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer, Montessori educator, and educational consultant who has spent more than three decades helping children, parents, teachers, and school leaders build respectful, encouraging relationships. Her passion is helping the adults in children’s lives work together to create environments where every child can thrive.
As the former owner and director of three accredited Montessori schools, Jody brings a rare combination of classroom experience, school leadership, and practical wisdom. Today she consults with schools around the world, helping educators integrate Positive Discipline and Montessori principles into their classrooms, school culture, and leadership practices.
Becoming a Trainer
Jody’s work has always centered on one simple belief: when we encourage and empower the people who guide children, everyone benefits.
As a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer, Montessori Teacher Trainer, parent coach, and school consultant, she has worked with educators and families throughout the United States and internationally. She also facilitates Empowering People in the Workplace, helping organizations strengthen collaboration, communication, and respectful leadership.
Jody holds a Master’s Degree in Montessori Education, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Development, and a Certificate in Adlerian Studies. She also serves in leadership with the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP), reflecting her longstanding commitment to Adlerian principles and lifelong learning.
