Casey O’Roarty, M.Ed., is a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, parent coach, speaker, and host of the popular Joyful Courage parenting podcast. For more than 20 years, she has helped parents, educators, and professionals develop the self-awareness, confidence, and emotional intelligence needed to create stronger, more connected relationships.
At the heart of Casey’s work is a simple belief: when adults better understand themselves—their thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and reactions—they are better equipped to guide children with empathy, mutual respect, and confidence. Whether she’s coaching parents through the challenges of adolescence, training educators, or speaking to organizations, Casey helps people move beyond reacting to responding with intention.
As a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, Casey prepares new Parent Educators, Classroom Educators, and Trainers around the world. She is deeply involved in the leadership of the Positive Discipline Association, mentoring Trainers, helping shape Think Tanks, and serving as one of the select facilitators certified to teach the internationally recognized Art of Facilitating Positive Discipline workshop.
Casey’s passion extends beyond individual families. Through live workshops, online courses, speaking engagements, coaching, and her podcast, she creates a ripple effect that empowers parents and educators to raise capable, connected, and emotionally healthy children. Her work reflects the core values of Positive Discipline—mutual respect, belonging, encouragement, and the belief that lasting change begins with the adults who guide the next generation.
Casey holds a Master of Education from the University of Washington and is an ICF Certified Life Coach. She brings warmth, authenticity, and decades of experience to every conversation, inspiring others to grow alongside the children they love.
