52 Positive Discipline Tools to Improve your Parenting Skills

3 Ways to have fun with the deck:

1. Choose one card and practice for a week. You can follow along on our blog.

2. When faced with a challenge, choose a card at random. Chances are that it will be the perfect tool to solve the problem while teaching your child self-discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and problem-solving skills or you can try another card.

3. Invite your children to choose a card and let you know if it is the tool that will solve the problem or keep choosing until they find one that will.

Positive Discipline Trainer

The Positive Discipline Tool Cards have really been a hit in my positive parenting workshops. We not only use the set of 52 cards during our "parents helping parents" activity in the classroom, but many of the participants have purchased their own set so

Ms.

I love these cards because they make learning the Positive Discipline advice do-able for me. I do one card a week and they do help. I have three little children, so anything that makes learning better parenting skills do-able is great!

Great idea!

These are so awesome to have--if only I could figure out a way to use them more consistently! I will say my 5yo loves looking through them and having me read them to her, so that leads us to talk about them which is a good first step.

good for putting principles into practice

These are so practical to have around, especially if both spouses aren't able to read the book. These break the info into bite-size pieces, making discussion about principles easy to begin -- with adults or with children. However, some of the cards are a
