She holds a certificate in Adlerian Studies and currently is serving as a Co-Board Chair for the Positive Discipline Association and as a Co-Chair of the Educators Section of North American Adlerian Society of Adlerian Psychologists (NASAP). When she is not traveling for work, she loves spending time with her husband in her home town of Boise, ID and finding new delights in her new role of being a parent to her two adult daughters.
Nuria Rodriguez is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer, Founder of Positive Discipline Lab and Board member of the Positive Discipline Association. She has worked in personnel development for more than 20 years in multinational companies and schools. This has included work in Human Resources and as Senior Change Management Consultant for various industries like IT/Telecom, Insurance Services, Financial Services, and Public Institutions. While working in schools, Núria was a Middle and High School teacher, head of an SEL and Counseling Program, and a High School Principal. Núria has experienced the value of Positive Discipline in her role as parent to 3 children between the ages of 11 and 16, teacher, high school principal, and educational consultant.
This is an online interactive and streamed video workshop designed for parent educators, teachers, therapists, childcare professionals and others who want an effective discipline approach. This method is based on Adlerian Psychology and integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging behaviors. Successful participants will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and will:
Learn research based and effective tools and techniques for teaching parents how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time (non-punitive, non-permissive)
Learn how to facilitate a parent class from the position of a non-expert and gain practice with experiential exercises that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes and individual work with families.
