Parenting Class Description: This 2-hour workshop covers one of the key concepts of Positive Discipline: how to be both kind and firm at the same time. Fun, interactive, and practical, this session will provide you with the background you need to understand kind and firm parenting, as well as tools for putting it into practice at home. You will need a working camera and microphone for this participatory session. Registration deadline: Tuesday, July 16.
You will:
-Share your parenting challenges with other parents
- Identify traits you would like your children to have
- Discuss whether your current parenting tools are helping them get there
- Understand three styles of parenting
- Acquire tools for being kind and firm at the same time
- Understand how kind and firm parenting fits into Adlerian theory
