Facilitator Information: 
Joy Marchese, M.A., is a mother, author, educator, and well-being advocate. For 25 years Joy has worked with thousands of children, parents, and teachers to help foster a happy and flourishing environment in the home and in schools.  
Joy is the Founder of Positive Discipline UK, Co-Founder of iGROWco, and co-author of Positive Discipline for Today's Busy (& Overwhelmed) Parent. She runs a successful coaching practice and offers seminars and workshops as a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer to various schools and organizations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the U.S. 
Joy sees herself as an agent of change. With her combined passion and experience in parenting, education, professional development, and wellness she is able to give you a comprehensive look in to the modern world of parenting, relationships, and personal and professional development.  

Patricia Douglas is currently an educator, facilitator, and certified coach. For over 20 years, Patricia has worked in the field of education as a teacher, counselor, and administrator. She has served and advocated at the local and state level for educational and civic causes while fostering social and emotional growth in her students and community. 
Patricia's greatest joy is watching her three children grow into capable adults. Throughout her personal and professional life, she has worked with students of all ages, providing many challenges for growth and development. 

Workshop Description:  

This is an online interactive and streamed video workshop designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to: 

  1. Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches. 
  2. Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures. 
  3. Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect. 
  4. Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change. 
  5. Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving. 
  6. Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
