Facilitator Information: 
Lois Ingber is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer. She has 30+ years of experience providing services to children, youth, families, and educators in school, clinic, hospital, social service and private practice settings. Lois is a frequent presenter on the topics of Adlerian Psychology, parenting, family counseling and creating cooperative classrooms and schools. She says the two best things she has done in her life are being married with her husband and co-parenting their 19 y.o. daughter.

Joe Kaufman is an elementary school counselor in Buhler, Kansas. He taught second grade for eight years in Kansas public schools, effectively using Positive Discipline in his classroom. Joe earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Baker University. He is married with three kids, and plans to bring Positive Discipline to elementary schools in America's Midwest and beyond.
 

Workshop Description:  

This is an online interactive and streamed video workshop designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to: 

  1. Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches. 
  2. Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures. 
  3. Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect. 
  4. Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change. 
  5. Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving. 
  6. Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.

Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
