Facilitator Information: Carol is a Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer. She has worked with parents of all aged children (prenatal to adult) as well as educators and staff of preschoolers through high school. She co-founded Positive Discipline of Connecticut and served as Co-Chair of the International Board of Directors of the Positive Discipline Association. Carol is co-facilitator of the Parent Educator Open Forum Mentor Group, and she loves mentoring Positive Discipline people. She has two adult sons and a husband of over 38 years. Their relationships continue to grow and benefit from Positive Discipline.

Foteini, a dedicated Secondary School Teacher with expertise in Early Childhood Care and Education from Greece, passionately spreads Positive Discipline principles. As a Positive Discipline Provisional Trainer, she seamlessly integrates Positive Discipline into her pedagogical approach, fostering self-discipline, problem-solving skills, and responsibility in students. Beyond teaching, Foteini facilitates workshops for parents, caregivers, and educators, offering practical tools and strategies for effective Positive Discipline implementation. Her collaborative approach strengthens the bond between families, teachers, and the community, creating a unified network of support for children's growth and development. Workshop Description: 

This is an online interactive and streamed video workshop designed for parent educators, teachers, therapists, childcare professionals and others who want an effective discipline approach. This method is based on Adlerian Psychology and integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging behaviors. Successful participants will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and will:

  1. Learn research based and effective tools and techniques for teaching parents how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time (non-punitive, non-permissive)
  2. Learn how to facilitate a parent class from the position of a non-expert.
  3. Gain practice with experiential exercises that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
  4. Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes, and individual work with families.

Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop. 

In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by email.
