Cost: This Zoom workshop is being offered for only $25 per person or $45 per couple to Oak Farm Montessori families or $100 to the general public.
Parenting Class Description: In this workshop, we will practice entering the child's world and learn effective strategies for encouragement and how to use a challenging situation to teach valuable social and life skills. You will gain tools that can be used when siblings fight; to encourage the children to feel capable to solve their own conflicts. We will explore alternatives to punishment and humiliation, discuss the long term effects of using these techniques, and learn how to involve children in creating an agreement while we, as parents, take responsibility for kind and firm follow through.
